Renters moving to Seattle from Los Angeles

Per Apartment List, the most renters, 5.4%, are moving from Los Angeles, followed by 4.1% from Portland and 3.9% from New York.

Washington AG takes software company to court over rental price-fixing allegations

Washington is suing a property management software company and a handful of landlords over allegations they colluded to inflate rents through a price-fixing scheme, Attorney General Nick Brown announced Thursday.


The state says RealPage has three products to help landlords calculate rental prices and manage occupancy. The company uses nonpublic information that landlords agree to share to create an algorithm that pushes them to raise rents, according to the lawsuit filed in King County Superior Court.

Rents Rise Slightly For Second Month In A Row

March saw national rents rise slightly for the second month in a row, according to Apartment List’s April report.


While the last two months have seen some rent increases, overall national year-over-year growth remains negative at -0.4 percent.

The housing market just hit a milestone — and it spotlights a generational change

First-time buyers hit a record low share of the homebuying market last year, another sign that affordability continues to make homeownership out of reach for many.


Only 24% of homebuyers surveyed by the National Association of Realtors said they were purchasing a home for the first time — a substantial drop from the 32% who said the same the year prior. Meanwhile, baby boomers were the largest cohort of homebuyers last year, making up 42% of all homebuyers.

City of Bellevue offers $150,000 for projects that activate public spaces


The City of Bellevue has launched an initiative to support community-driven programs that activate public spaces in Bellevue and provide creative, fun and engaging experiences for Bellevue community members.


With a total of $150,000 in available funding, the 2025 Community Programming Fund offers up to $100,000 for multiple projects along the Grand Connection corridor – between Meydenbauer Bay Park through downtown Bellevue, across Interstate 405 to Eastrail – and up to $50,000 for activities in other public spaces throughout the city.
